Product: Vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics.
Special offer: Get 20% off with discount code VEGANFASHION20.
Why we love them: Cheekbone Beauty is an Indigenous, Canadian, vegan, cruelty-free, and clean beauty brand! You may have seen them at Sephora. The brand made headlines for their clever campaign that raised awareness about how Indigenous communities still do not have access to clean water. The campaign called for (fake) beauty products with names like E. Coli Kiss, Luscious Lead, and Mercury Shimmer. With vials of these fake beauty products displaying the liquid inside them, it stirred up thoughts for consumers… would you want to use water containing these toxins? Sadly, dangerous toxins are still found in the water in Indigenous communities. Good job Cheekbone Beauty for drawing attention to this serious matter in a creative way! That’s what we’re all about at the Vegan Fashion Show, so we knew we were highly aligned with this brand. We’re not currently an affiliate but Cheekbone Beauty was our cosmetics sponsor for our Vancouver 2024 event. Our Indigenous and vegan model coordinator, Ayîkipîsim (April) Waskahat, announced them on the stage.
