Our 2025 Event
The Vegan Fashion Show is a Canadian nonprofit organization and evidence-based educational fashion event showcasing the future of fashion. This year, we are proud to present one exclusive show in partnership with Planted Expo Toronto, Canada’s largest plant-based event, welcoming over 10,000 attendees. Join us on May 10 or 11, 2025 (date to be confirmed) as we bring sustainable, cruelty-free fashion to the Enercare Centre in Toronto.
Why Vegan Fashion?
Vegan fashion is for everyone. Whether through cutting-edge next-generation materials or handcrafted designs rooted in cultural traditions, The Vegan Fashion Show celebrates the diversity of ethical fashion.
Gone are the days when choosing vegan meant sacrificing quality. Today, next-generation materials outperform conventional animal-derived leather, wool, silk, fur, down, and exotic skins—not just in ethics, but in sustainability and innovation. These materials use fewer resources, produce significantly less pollution, and help move fashion towards a circular economy. Many are even completely plastic-free! For example, the Material Innovation Initiative reports that next-gen faux furs made from plants—not plastic—emit 40% to 90% less CO₂ than animal fur. These are the kinds of innovations we need in the midst of a climate crisis.
At the same time, vegan fashion is more than just futuristic materials. Our featured designers come from diverse backgrounds—including Southeast Asian Indigenous artisans, Muslim designers crafting modest fashion, and independent creators emphasizing slow, handmade craftsmanship. They prove that cruelty-free fashion can be rooted in heritage, artistry, and sustainability, offering styles for everyone.
Our Impact
Since our inception, The Vegan Fashion Show has been dedicated to raising awareness about ethical and sustainable fashion while supporting meaningful change for animals.
From 2022 to 2023, our standalone events in Toronto raised $10,000 CAD for Animal Justice. In 2024, we expanded our reach by partnering with like-minded events across Canada—from Vancouver to Toronto—bringing vegan fashion education to new audiences.
Beyond the runway, we incorporate evidence-based educational elements into our model castings, events, and online platforms. Through presentations, expert speakers, and engaging discussions, we help audiences understand the environmental and ethical impact of fashion, the benefits of next-generation materials, and how to make informed, cruelty-free choices.
By blending fashion, education, and advocacy, we create a lasting impact that goes beyond a single event—empowering individuals to drive change in their own lives and industries.
